Make blog images clickable

  • On my blog page, four posts show up at once but you have to click on the title in order to go to a specific post. I want our site visitors to be able to click on either the title or the blog image itself in order to open up the post.

    How would I go about making that happen?

    Hi, if you need to make theme files customization you need to use child-theme for this, otherwise you lose your modifications after theme updates.
    So, you need to copy shortocdes.php (located at wp-content/themes/richer/framework/inc/) to your child theme to the same directory and modify code at line 2755.
    $out .= '<figure class="thumbnail"><img src="'.$src.'" alt=""/></figure>';
    $out .= '<figure class="thumbnail"><a href="'. get_permalink() . '"><img src="'.$src.'" alt=""/></a></figure>';

    Thank you.

    Do I find the shortcodes.php in the theme editor? I can’t seem to find it.

    Use FTP for this or Your Server file manager.

    I found the php file but that directory doesn’t exist in my child theme’s directory.

    You need to create the same directory.
